About the RAF Ramstein Rogues  RFC
If you are that type of person who has participated in organized sports for most
of your life then rugby is a great sport for you to get involved in. Unfortunately,
unless you have college-level or pro-level talent, there aren’t many organized
sporting options once you get out of high school. We want to offer you a
chance to continue your involvement in organized athletics. We offer union
rugby, the fastest-growing amateur sport in the world. More important, rugby is
a CONTACT sport. Rugby combines most of the skills you learned while
playing American football, basketball, wrestling and/or soccer. It is the total
sport.

No experience is necessary. Our coaches and experienced players will teach
you the game. We have three seasons – a spring and a fall 15s regular season
as well as a Summer 7s season. We practice twice a week during those times
and take the winter break off to let the ground thaw. In 15s, the teams are
composed of 15 players each and the game is 80 minutes long, with a five-
minute halftime. Summer 7s runs during the summer and involves seven
people per team playing seven-minute halves. The field is the same for both
games. In the summertime there are several 7’s tournaments that we
participate in to keep our fitness levels up – but participation and practices
during the summer months is voluntary.

The RAF Ramstein Rogues Rugby Football Club was founded in 1988. We
play in the German Rhinland-Pfalz Rugby Union, which includes teams from all
over the state. The RAF Rogues RFC has won several state titles over the
years. Recent successes include a 2000-2001 undefeated regular season, and
three RP tourney cup victories in the last 5 years. We practice at 6:30 p.m. on
Tuesdays and Thursdays on the field behind the 24hr shoppette on Pulaski
Barracks. For more information contact the Club at Contact tab at the top of the
page or email us directly at
